Pete Hoyer Earns Coach of the Year

Oregon Resident Pete Hoyer earns his first Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year award for guiding the Dayton Flyers to their first-ever outright Atlantic 10 regular season title and the top seed in the Verizon Atlantic 10 Championship. Dayton entered the tournament sporting a 21-5 overall mark and a 14-2 record in Conference play. In eight years at Dayton, Hoyer has a 155-85 (.646) record. Hoyer previously led the Flyers to a share of the 1998 Atlantic 10 regular season title.
